Hi there Tara, welcome to the team! Tell us a little bit about yourself…

I'm Tara, and I’m the new Marketing Manager at Appogee HR. I’ve spent most of my career in Marketing and Tech and have a keen interest in HR. Outside of work, I like to put my sewing skills to the test with various “me-made” projects. If I’m not sewing, I’ll be outside in nature enjoying plenty of long walks.

What appealed to you most about working at Appogee HR?

The people! Appogee HR is a very diverse and inclusive company. This was the main appeal for me when considering what type of company I wanted to be a part of. Furthermore, being part of a small business comes with plenty of opportunities to make a real difference not just in my own field but the potential to influence other business areas and learn more about HR software solutions as I go.

What are you most looking forward to getting involved in?

I'm looking forward to putting my passion for all things HR And Marketing to good use and helping shape the future of Appogee HR through new and exciting marketing strategies and initiatives. I want to make sure that businesses who are looking for customisable HR and productivity software solutions find us at the right time.

What’s the most exciting advancement in technology in your opinion?

Remote Everything and The IoT, are in my opinion both great advancements in technology. Anything that makes our daily lives easier is a win. I don’t know where I’d be without my home assistant helping me to make lists or set daily reminders.

What did you want to be when you were a kid?

As a child I always wanted to be a nurse, this was largely due to the fact that many of the role models in my life were nurses. You’d often find me running around with a pretend stethoscope and a thermometre.

How do you take your tea/coffee?

I like both tea and coffee, however, if I had to choose one it would be a nice hot latte with vanilla.

What's your favourite film and why?

I’m possibly the biggest Harry Potter fan in the world and my adoration for all things HP runs deep. All of the films are just magical, however, The Goblet of Fire is one of my favorites. It’s the first of the films where we get to see more advanced magic and the tournament is really fun to watch unfold as the series starts to take a darker turn.
