Headquartered in Nairobi, they reach customers who are underserved by traditional financial services, which often require customers to have a credit history or assets to secure financing. Their ‘Pay-As-You-Go’ financing model allows customers to get instant access to products from day one, while building ownership over time through flexible micro-payments.
M-KOPA has an employee count of just over 1500 and is based across 4 countries. Prior to implementing Appogee HR, M-KOPA had tried out several different HR systems, which were not able to service their needs. Anne Mwicigi, HR Shared Services Manager shared her frustrations with us “using the other platforms, we still had to manage a lot of staff data in Excel spreadsheets, which was inefficient and very manual”.
