Business Development Specialist

We are searching for a new Business Development Specialist to join our growing team

We offer simple data integration with other cloud business applications, provide features which engage and empower staff and help meet HR compliance requirements. 

 

What is the role?

This exciting new role would suit a recent graduate with some work experience who has decided they would like a career in sales but would like to join a small, fast growing business where you have a chance to contribute to all aspects of the company.

As a Business Development Specialist you will be responsible for bringing new customers to our range of HR solutions. You will be providing demos to our trialists and showcasing what we can offer. You will be the key point of contact for trialists until they purchase and move on to our Customer Success team. 

In your role you will become a product expert and be confident in understanding the customers requirements and finding the best solution for them. You will work closely with our Customer Success team to ensure you provide the best standard of demo and are able to provide feedback from the customer sessions. 

The role will also work closely with our Marketing team on outbound campaigns to bring in new trialists. You must be confident in talking to new prospects through several channels including email, phone and using social media (mostly LinkedIn).

We are a growing business so you must be happy to get stuck in and be motivated to make an impact when it comes to new business. As a smaller company you will have the chance to have a big voice and the opportunity to contribute to the future shape and success of the business.  

 

How would you spend your time in this role?

  • Focus on new business with a sales target number that you will own
  • Strong contact and relationships with new trialists
  • Provide online demos to trialists and prospects
  • Become a product expert so you understand our customer requirements and how we can help
  • Get involved with outbound campaigns for new customers working closely with our Marketing Manager
  • Outbound reach through social media channels - mostly LinkedIn 
  • Work alongside our Customer Success Manager to ensure you provide excellent communication and product knowledge to prospects
  • Collate and feedback customer requirements to the product team to help with future product development roadmaps

You will be successful in this role if:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Graduate with at least a 2:1 degree
  • 1-2 years work experience (does not need to be in a sales role)
  • Adaptability and flexibility, we’re a growing business and things change quickly.
  • Effective problem solving and organization skills.
  • Able to communicate internally across the different functions
  • Highly motivated with good use of initiative
  • Good interpersonal skills, should be able to work as a team member
  • Able to meet deadlines along with working under pressure.
