Our Arrivals blog series highlights new company and product announcements. In this post we announce the upcoming version of Appogee Leave.
In response to our customers and partners suggestions, we are excited to announce that Appogee Leave will soon be accepting payments in 3 currencies. In addition to this, Appogee Leave has implemented additional feature suggestions such as improved calendar entries and more granular control when enabling/disabling the out of office setting.
Worldpay
Previously our customers could only purchase using GBP (£). Thanks to our new integration with Worldpay we will now accept payments in EUR (€) and USD ($) in addition to GBP. This is available immediately to all Appogee Signature customers, Appogee Leave customers will have access to Worldpay enabled in the coming days. The Cloudskills Academy will be updated to use Worldpay in the coming weeks. Google Wallet orders are currently still being accepted but once the switchover is fully complete we will not be accepting any further orders through Google Wallet.
The decision to switch payment provider was taken so that we can offer a fixed local currency price to all our customers. Overseas customers will no longer need to have any doubts as to how the currency exchange rates could affect the total price they pay.
Soon after launch we expect to be able to add American Express processing to both Appogee Leave.
How this affects you:
- You can now choose your currency on the licensing page, GBP (£), EUR (€) and USD ($)
- We need to collect VAT information on our customers, every customer will be asked to confirm their VAT status regardless of country.
- Customers within the UK or Isle of Man will always be charged VAT
- Customers outside of the UK and Isle of Man will be charged VAT inline with the rules set out by HMRC, these can be found here: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/vat/managing/international/exports/goods.htm
- Upon payment completion, Worldpay will send you a receipt of payment
Appogee Leave Updates
OAuth 2.0 Update for Google Apps users
Appogee Leave will be upgrading to the latest OAuth 2.0 security for authentication and authorisation. As a result users will be able to see find Appogee Leave easily via the logo in the Marketplace Apps under the Apps Launcher from Google Apps.
Team Profile Integration Settings
We’re excited to announce the new Team Profile Integration Settings which provide admins with more control on Out of Office settings and Personal Calendar settings.
Out of Office - Previously Out of Office was authorized by the domain administrator for the whole domain. This feature can now be enabled/disabled at the Team Profile level.
Personal Calendars - HR and Admins will be able to turn off the sync to users’ Personal Calendars. This would make absence events clearer for users who subscribe to both the Google Team Calendar and use their Personal Calendar.
Calendar Event Format
We’ve had requests to change the format of calendar events and we’ve now added the domain wide option to either display calendar events with the name of the absent user first then the status of approval or vice versa.
