Meet the team! Aparna Parsa - QA Engineer

Meet the team Aparna Parsa

We'd like to welcome our newest team member Aparna Parsa! Find out more about our new QA Engineer in our Meet The Team interview...

Hi there Aparna, welcome to the team! Tell us a little bit about yourself…

Hello! I am Aparna. I’ve joined the Development Team, as a QA Engineer. Previously, I worked as a Software Test Engineer in both the pharmaceutical and retail industries, with a focus on manual and automated testing. Outside of work, I like to spend time with my family, especially with my two-year-old.

What appealed to you most about working at Appogee HR?

The team at AppogeeHR is very friendly and they’ve been super supportive from day one. The work environment is very nice, there’s lots to learn about the software and plenty of room to explore technology and process.

What are you most looking forward to getting involved in?

As a QA Engineer, the quality of the software is my main priority. I will be focused on ensuring that there are no issues when it comes to releasing the software. I'm looking forward to exploring our test strategy and test automation areas and implementing test processes to make QA life as easy as possible.

What’s your favourite piece of technology you use or would like to use?

I was looking into test automation in my previous roles and used Java with Selenium WebDriver. I'm passionate about technology, so, I’m also learning Cypress, which is a JavaScript automation tool, and Python, where I will be writing automated tests in ApogeeHR. Being a Test Automation Engineer means that I’ll be reducing our manual testing efforts which is really cool.

What did you want to be when you were a kid?

As a child, I always wanted to be a Police Officer! However, I graduated in engineering and technology. Somehow my career took me into the IT sector and I ended up as QA Engineer.

How do you take your tea/coffee?

I’m a big tea lover and enjoy drinking ginger tea! I normally make it with milk, tea bags, sugar, and a bit of ginger. It tastes really good!

What's your favourite film, book, or movie?

There are plenty! It's impossible to pick just one.

Thanks, Aparna, great to meet you! If you're keen to join the team too, check out our careers page for our latest vacancies.
